Service Technician - Corporate HQ, Columbia, MD
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is hiring a Service Technician to provide instrument service support for our analytical products. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience with chromatography instruments to work in a technical setting and support our customers and field employees!
The technician in this position is responsible for a wide variety of service related support functions including, but not limited to, the repair, maintenance, and performance of IQ/OQ/PT of assigned analytical products. The analytical products are to include SSI owned demo equipment, instruments returned from customers and customer owned products.
This technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance and installation of assigned analytical products.
Problem Solving Requirements:
Incumbent must be proficient at effectively and efficiently troubleshooting and repairing instrument problems, performing installations, and providing, when necessary, customer and staff training.
Education And/Or Experience Requirements:
AA in Electrical Engineering or Technology with one year of field or in-house exposure with related instrument repair or the equivalent experience.
