Candidate will be responsible for development, direction, administration, monitoring, and coordination of the Project Quality Plan (PQP). The candidate will assist in the planning, development, and controlling of major quality aspects of the construction and provide oversight over the contractor’s quality programs, development of project related concepts and recommending solutions to the project teams, completing quality reports and other tasks as assigned. Other duties include establishing key performance quality indices, conducting audits and perform inspections to determine quality of workmanship and materials used and review quality program submittals from the contractor. The Quality Manager’s overall objective is to build and maintain a positive relationships with staff, management and clients, to achieve or exceed quality expectations on all projects.
Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in construction or 15 years of demonstrable experience. Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, quality, architecture or a related field. Experience in construction engineering, inspection and testing for large infrastructure projects, welding, electrical systems, rail systems train control systems, and track work components is desirable. Candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and the ability to become competent with latest project management software and reporting systems. Candidates shall also have good written and verbal communication skills.
