Candidate will perform accounting functions such as billing, recording, monitoring, controlling, and reporting on all financial aspects of the project. The candidate will be responsible for performing quality checks of financial data, analyzing and reporting accounting information for both internal and external use. The candidate will monitor the financial performance of the project, establish and maintain financial records for the project, attend or conduct project meetings and complete daily work reports.
Candidate must have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in accounting, business administration, computer science or related field with at least 12 semester hours in accounting along with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar position. Proficient with WMATA’s record keeping management system (Procore) and general office equipment. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, a professional work ethic, the ability to multitask, and demonstrate self starter capabilities. Attention to detail necessary and knowledge of accounting practices required.
