Position Description

A. Duties

Under general supervision regularly and customarily performs all necessary duties required to maintain and effectively operate storeroom for the Vehicle Resource Management.  This includes such work as the following illustrative duties, together with other related and incidental work:

1.  This classification shall perform duties such as receiving, identifying, locating/ordering, and issuing stock and non-stock parts for repair and support of company vehicles and equipment.

2. Is responsible for the physical condition, orderliness and cleanliness of the storeroom.  Takes, prepares, maintains and completes all inventories.

3. Assists when necessary in salvage operations.

4. Performs necessary clerical work incidental to the job.  

5. When required, directs the work of and instructs others assigned to assist him/her.  

6.  Must be able to operate lift trucks, delivery trucks.  

7.  Use and understand Fleet Management computer systems.  

In addition to the above and other work of a similar grade, a VRM Parts Room Person will be assigned to any other work of equal of lesser skill.  Within the capabilities of the individual, to meet emergencies or other operating needs.

Position Requirements

Required:
Experience demonstrating skill working within a warehouse/storeroom environment to include:
Experience demonstrating skill receiving, identifying, locating, ordering and issuing stock and non-stock vehicle and construction equipment parts and supplies for repair and support of fleet vehicles and equipment (for example, tools and/or parts).
Experience demonstrating skill driving/operating fork lifts and delivery trucks.
Experience performing general housekeeping functions (for example, sweeping, removing older/deteriorating stock).
Experience demonstrating skill preparing and maintaining various records, including completing administrative functions, as required
Experience demonstrating skill working in a team environment as well as provide on the job knowledge sharing as required
Experience demonstrating skill effectively communicating verbally and in writing
Ability and willingness to obtain a valid CDL within six (6) months of entry into position.
Ability and willingness to obtain an ASE Parts Specialist Certification within eighteen (18) months of entry into position.
Ability and willingness to travel and work at various PHI locations
Ability and willingness to work shift work, including during emergencies working overtime, weekends, holidays as required
Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including outdoors in all weather conditions in noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal Protective Equipment
Ability and willingness to perform physically challenging tasks for extended periods of time (for example, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pulling/pushing, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs and squatting).
Ability and willingness performing a second role in accordance with PHI's Emergency Preparedness Guidelines for all employees
Ability and willingness to comply with Federal, State, local and company safety requirements
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Must Possess a ASE Parts Specialist Certified or the ability and willingness to test to be ASE Parts Specialist Certified within 18 months of entry into the position.
Must possess a valid CDL Class “A” license or the ability and willingness to obtain a valid CDL within six (6) months of entry into the position.
Must have at least two (2) years' experience in the automotive (Medium–Heavy Truck / Construction equipment) warehouse/storeroom environment or other training or experience equally acceptable to the Company, and must be able to demonstrate abilities to the Company’s satisfaction.
Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check which consists of a 7-year criminal records check for felony convictions.
Must successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test.

Preferred:
Knowledge of Fleet Management Computer Systems.
