We are currently seeking an Overhead Lead Foreperson to join our Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Directs and assists crew with setting poles and anchors, stringing overhead wire, and proper sagging
  • Consults crews on installing transformers, lightening arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches and
  • Directs and assists crew with troubleshooting trouble in primary and secondary
  • Directs and assists crew with replacing cutout fuses and clearing faulted circuits and
  • Obtains daily job description from General Forepersons and ensures all job specific tasks are completed.
  • Ensures proper testing and inspection of assigned tools and
  • Responsible for upholding and maintaining the highest standards of safety and operations.
  • Performs safety inspections on personnel and equipment by utilizing standardized methods and procedures.
  • Enforcing strict compliance with all rules and
  • Provides coaching and counseling to crews to prevent unsafe behaviors.
  • Weather permitting, this is a 40 hour + per week
  • Enter onto personal/commercial
  • Stopping work when unsafe acts or conditions are
  • Responsible for reporting all incident, injuries, and near misses to Supervision/General

 

 

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience and specialized knowledge of energized high voltage systems.
  • Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for regular interactions with crews and customers.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the use and maintenance of required PPE.
  • Must be able to lift, move and maneuver 50 pounds or more on a frequent basis.
  • Able to multi-task and produce in a high paced team-oriented environment.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Capable of filling in for the General Foreman as needed.
  • Must be able to safely operate approved company
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be willing and able to work on weekends as directed by management.
  • May be asked to travel out of state for emergency storm
  • Must have transportation to and from the show up location
  • Advanced Knowledge of heavy equipment is desirable.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug
  • Due to the inherently dangerous nature of the industry and the requirements to work with or around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
