We are looking to hire a Part Time Legal Assistant immediately to support our client in Rockville, MD. Candidate must possess excellent organization, communication and analytical skills. Basic Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide a full range of administrative support.
• Assist attorney in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
• Organize and maintain both electronic and physical document files.
• Organize and track files and make easily accessible to attorney
• Identify appropriate laws, judicial decisions, legal articles, and other materials for assigned cases.
• Prepare letters, memos, reports, and other materials, and file documents with appropriate entities in accordance with legal requirements.
• Assist with assembling and editing drafts of pleadings and other legal documents.


Qualifications:

• Associates Degree or higher in paralegal studies preferred but not required or currently enrolled in a degree program.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing administrative support, preferably in a law firm or research facility.
• Experience drafting technical documents preferred
• Previous experience conducting electronic database research
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Working knowledge of WordPerfect and Excel

Additional Information:
