The Service Manager leads the install and service staff in both residential and commercial work.  He will work directly with the technicians, dispatch and the management team to achieve customer satisfaction and meet departmental goals for productivity and profitability. 

 

Duties Include:

  • Continuous recruitment of quality technical professionals
  • Provide technical support for field techs
  • Review technicians’ work to ensure quality and safety requirements are met
  • Establish and maintain regular training
  • Communicate daily with dispatch for proper scheduling
  • Insure departmental profitability
  • Audit work orders for accuracy and invoicing purposes
  • Monitor vehicles for adequate inventory and for maintenance/service
  • Generate sales leads, develop maintenance agreements, estimate project work
  • Manage larger projects

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Extensive technical knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Excellent leadership skills and a desire to motivate others to excel
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; strong conflict management skills
  • Ability to read, interpret and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits
  • Available to work a non-standard schedule
  • Professional appearance
