Candidate will be responsible for preparing construction cost estimates during any stage of design development; from conceptual to final construction documents and for budgeting purposes for a wide variety of public and private owners. Candidate must be capable of preparing detailed cost estimates for a wide variety of projects including highway, bridge, marine, transit, and facility designs for internal and external customers. Other duties include maintaining proper documentation for all estimates, providing estimating support related to value engineering efforts, change order review, programmatic estimates, risk assessments and project control services and other duties as assigned.
Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in construction cost estimating; contractor experience is preferred. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, business, or another related field. In addition, the candidate should have proficiency in CPM scheduling of heavy & highway projects, with familiarity in the use of a variety of scheduling softwares. Candidates must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and extensive knowledge of estimating software.
