Title: Controller


Reports To:  President & CEO


Status: Regular, Full Time, Exempt


Key Accountability:

  1. Business Partner                         (50%)
  • Refines financial data from financial reporting. Has operational expertise to ensure that management can make proper financial decisions.
  • Ensures financial statements represent what actually happens from an operational standpoint, understands (or creates) the processes and procedures within the operations of the business.
  • Bridges the gap from what has happened to how to improve the financial future of the company.


  1. Tactile                         (20%)
  • Responsible for balance sheet reconciliation. Follows proper accounting legal requirements and compliance.
  • Meets deadlines, ensures accuracy and is an effective finance/business partner.
  • Analyzes and interprets data, communicates and disseminates important information, ensuring the right individuals understand the information they need.
  • Handles budget and cash flow, capital investments, cap x planning, pricing and contracts.
  • Has oversight of accounting manager, regulatory filing, licenses, taxes, federal and state level, Gap, tax and internal controls.


  1. Personnel Development             (10%)
  • Focuses on hiring, training and developing team members within the department.
  • Maintains a proper organizational structure within the department.


  1. CFO stretch                         (20%)
  • Balances the accounting needs and financial needs of the company.
  • Understands business risk and defines and mitigates high risk while expanding on positive risk (externally and internally).
