Position Description:
Candidate will support the construction manager overseeing the activities of the office engineers, construction inspectors, and administrative / project personnel. The ARE will monitor the contractor’s work for compliance to schedule, budget, technical specifications, legal requirements, and resolve design and field construction issues. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of the construction contract packages, and prepare all packages for bidding, proposal evaluation and award recommendations, coordinate the work of multiple contractors and responsible for ensuring project deliverables are in conformance with the technical specifications of the contract. The candidate will also be responsible for daily observation of contractor activities, record keeping, contractor payment processing and quality control services. The candidate will perform the quality control measures required, and manage field staff, including Office Engineers and Construction Inspectors.

Job Requirements:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or engineering related field. A PMP and/or CCM certification is desirable. Candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in civil construction with 5 years of experience in construction of transit projects in the areas of stations, utility relocation & demolition, or track systems and maintenance facilities and worked on projects valued over $15mil. Candidate must possess excellent oral and interpersonal skills, pass a government background check and have the ability to work in confined spaces.
